Passenger Seat - Per Englund

When the photographer Per Englund moved to Stockholm six years ago, he ended up in a small studio apartment on the second floor in Hornstull. In the street below the window there was an intersection with a traffic light. Englund spent much time in the window where he had a perfect view of the cars during their 30 seconds of waiting for the green light. Photographing became a daily ritual, and the collection grew rapidly. The series of images in the book is a distillation of the huge amount of images, and in its design understated and dense.
